The Investment Management Talent Programme is all about becoming a high-value specialist or a general manager. To reach your goals quickly, we will facilitate personal and professional growth in two steps.

To find out which field suits you best, you will start with an orientation phase of 18 months. You will work on three challenging projects that take place within our specialist ING Investment Management teams, such as:

• Equity Investments
• Fixed Income & Treasury
• Marketing & Sales

In the next phase you will specialise in your field of choice. You will increase your knowledge, network and skills in your first position, for example as:

• Portfolio Manager
• Investment Manager
• Equity Trader
• Quantitative Analyst

Your work will generally be analytical and many projects will be carried out in teams. You will cooperate with many divisions, often at an international level. Right from the start you will deal with a considerable amount of responsibility.

Although you will be on a fast track, you will stay in control of your career. You will decide the goals to aim for; we offer ample development opportunities to match your ambitions.

To join the programme, you need a Masters degree, preferably in Economics, Finance & Investment, Econometrics, or a technical discipline.

But even more important is the kind of person you are. You will start with an extensive welcome programme to familiarise yourself with ING. Furthermore, you will master a number of fundamental skills related to presentation, positioning, communication, influence and project management.

Everyone has specific interests and skills. During the programme you can take advantage of several individual training opportunities to meet your needs:

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• NIBE Course

And you won’t be on your own. You will benefit from active personal guidance and on-the-job coaching from your career officer from Human Resources and your first line managers. Together you will make an annual tailor-made plan of your learning activities and future career steps to help you grow.

On top of this, you will get the chance to participate in the supplementing ING International Graduate Programme. This four-year challenge adds extra value to your career development by expanding your knowledge and international network and boosting your leadership skills.
